I am unable to gain confirmation from Random House that this was the Australian edition. This edition has all points including printed in USA 4/77 on the rear fold over flap and the initials impressed into the front board. The American edition had a price in US dollars, with all points otherwise being the same as the UK edition which had a price in £'s. The publication data reads" 2 4 6 8 9 7 5 3 First Edition, " which is an indicaton of a true first edition from Random House.The Dust jacket is printed without a price.
The front foldover has been creased, as has the rear one. The dustwrapper has edgewear and severe chipping to the top and the bottom edges, with some loss, and a 1" tear to the top of front panel. 726 pp., one foldout colour plate, and other black and white full-page illustrations by the brothers Hildebrandt. For those who have questions about the number line starting with the #2: From 1976 through 2003, Random House indicated a First Edition, first printing with the statement First Edition and a number line beginning with 2. Signed by author Terry Brooks on title page. This is the UK edition (US sheets, Raven Books on spine).
