


Wendy also leads narrative non-fiction workshops in some grades and guides the children to write a story in that genre. Wendy shows how her work progresses from the idea, manuscript, galleys, artist's sketches, press sheets and F&G's to a finished book. Several of her students have become published authors. Wendy taught this book chapter by chapter in adult schools and colleges. An updated edition is now available on CD-Rom. Wendy has had over forty-five children's books published and has also written WRITING CHILDREN'S BOOKS: GETTING STARTED for adults and young adults. By sharing real life experiences, she hopes these entertaining and informative tales will inspire children to read books and write them. Wendy lives in Pennington, New Jersey and is available to visit your school to help children discover the joy of writing. She especially enjoys visiting schools to teach writing workshops and lead interactive presentations with children. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children.Wendy Pfeffer, award winning author of many children’s books and one adult book, taught elementary school, directed a nursery school and has led writing classes for all ages. Bleck has a degree in graphic design from the University of Illionis, Urbana-Champaign. She is the author and illustrator of Pepper Goes to School and the illustrator of a series of children’s treasuries of nursery rhymes, songs, lullabies, and prayers. Bleck is making memories with her own children in Wisconsin, where the fall’s brilliant colors of changing leaves and crisp blue skies, as well as visits to local fruit and pumpkin farms, provide her with the inspiration to create her vivid illustrations. Linda Bleck grew up in a family of nine children in northern Illionois, and their Thanksgiving feasts were celebrated at a table her father made from a large door. She lives with her husband, Tom, in New Jersey, where the change of seasons allows them to sail and swim in summer, then cross-country ski after the winter solstice welcomes winter each year.

An early-childhood specialist, she enjoys visiting schools and teaching creative writing to children.

Wendy Pfeffer is the author of many science-oriented children’s books, including From Tadpole to Frog and A Log’s Life, which won the Giverny Award for Best Children’s Science Picture Book.
